What is the difference between zipForm® 6 Professional Edition, Standard Edition and Elite Edition?

Professional Edition is an online version of zipForm® 6 which saves all settings and transactions online. If your computer crashes there is no need to worry. Simply log into your zipForm® 6 Professional Edition account and everything will be waiting safely for you.


Standard Edition is an offline version of zipForm® 6 which saves all program files, settings, and transactions locally instead of online. Standard Edition has most of the same benefits as the Professional Edition without needing an Internet connection. However, there are some key features that still require an Internet connection such as Email, MLS Connect, E-Signatures, Help files, Checking for Updates, and Renewing.


Elite Edition is both the Professional Edition and Standard Edition of zipForm® 6. Both versions have the ability to sync files from one to the other. So if, for example your Internet connection goes down, you will still be able to use zipForm® 6 Standard Edition and sync the files created to the Professional Edition when the Internet connection is back up.

How long are my transactions stored on zipForm® 6 Professional Edition?

Your zipForm® 6 Professional Edition transactions will be stored and maintained for a period of 14 months from the last date you saved the transaction. After that time, the transaction may be removed from your account, and it will not be recoverable after it is removed. If you would like to save a transaction, please export and save the transaction to another location, such as your computer, a CD-ROM or other off-line storage. Why does zipForm® 6 say that I am going to expire?

30 days prior to your expiration date, you will be notified that your library is going to expire. The renewal is on an annual basis and the price varies depending on the Association you belong to.

How do I renew zipForm® 6?

zipForm® 6 will prompt you with a renewal screen 30 days prior to your renewal date. Click on the "Renew Now" button, and follow the simple prompts to renew your software for another term of use. It may be required for you to log into your Association Web site, depending on the Association you belong to.

On how many computers can I install zipForm® 6 on with one license?

You may install zipForm® 6 on as many computers as you wish, there is no installation limit.

How often and why do forms change?

Forms are reviewed and revised on a continual basis. Legislative action or court decisions that affect the liability of REALTORS® will require immediate revisions.

How do I check for form updates?

Professional Edition: The forms are automatically kept up to date.

Can I modify the wording on the forms?

You may only modify the text entered into each field. All text outside of the fields can not be modified.

This depends on the Association forms that you are using. Some state Associations forbid the printing of blank forms.

This depends on the Association forms that you are using. Some Associations have forms in other languages but most are just in English.

Can I save my transactions as Microsoft Word documents?

No, zipForm® 6 can only save transactions as a zipForm transaction file (.XZFX) or an Adobe Reader file (.PDF).

What if I want to back up all of my saved data for zipForm® 6?

Professional Edition: All of your data is stored online. So there is no need to worry about backing anything up unless you are looking to back up transactions that may go beyond our 14 month storage policy.
